Job summary

Corlann South East is seeking Support Workers to join Ballytobin Services in Kilkenny. The role involves ensuring personal care, assisting with individual plans, and helping People Supported by the Services engage with their community.

Job description

Location: Ballytobin Services, Kilkenny

There are currently permanent full-time and permanent part-time vacancies.

A panel may be established as a result of this recruitment campaign for Ballytobin Services. The panel will be used to fill current and future vacancies that may arise within the service during the lifetime of the panel. Vacancies may be Permanent, Temporary, Specified Purpose Contract (SPC), Fixed-Term, Full-Time or Part-Time in nature.

The role of a Support Worker

Support Workers provide a key-working caring role for a group of People Supported by the Services. They are responsible for all aspects of personal care required during the day. This includes meals, personal hygiene and other related aspects of physical well-being. Secondly, a major focus of the Support Worker role is to assist and support People Supported by the Services with the development of their Individual Plans and achievement of associated outcomes. In addition, a critical component of this role is to support People Supported by the Services in community participation and integration.
