Lotus Care is recruiting an experienced Residential Support Worker to join our team in Clonalsee, Co. Laois. The role offers a permanent position with an average of 42 hours per week across 12-hour day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities include providing person-centred care, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting wellbeing in a home-like setting. The ideal candidate will have QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support and experience with disabilities.

Formación

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience supporting children or adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to service owners.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, feeding, and daily living activities.
• Support emotional, social and physical wellbeing of service owners.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in line with health and safety standards and care plans.
• Promote rights, dignity and individual needs of service owners.
• Support participation in community and recreational activities.
• Monitor safeguarding and welfare concerns per company procedures.
• Carry out additional duties as required by management.

Lotus Care is currently recruiting for an experienced Healthcare Assistant.

Position Details

• Role Type: Permanent position - expected start date August.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to service owners.
• Assist service owners with personal care, hygiene, feeding, and daily living activities.
• Support the emotional, social, and physical wellbeing of service owners.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment in line with health and safety standards and individual care plans.
• Promote and advocate for the rights, dignity, and individual needs of service owners.
• Support participation in community and recreational activities.
• Monitor and report safeguarding, welfare, or health concerns in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Carry out additional duties as required by management.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience supporting children or adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of care and support.
