Dublin Simon Community is seeking a Night Support Worker for the Outreach team based at Harcourt Street, Dublin. The role focuses on coordinating sleeping bag provisions for rough sleepers and guiding clients to available services and accommodation with strong emphasis on safety and reporting.

As a Night Support Worker with the Outreach team, you will be based in Harcourt Street STA (subject to change) and the primary purpose of your role will be to co-ordinate the provision of sleeping bags to clients who are sleeping rough, along with offering guidance and signposting to the clients who are availing of this service. This role is vital in establishing a connection between supporting clients rough sleeping at night, and the work of the Outreach team that is carried out during the day. There will be a significant amount of inter-agency collaboration required for this role, therefore excellent communication skills will be required. You will work as a member of the Outreach team and will be involved in discussions, planning and initiatives to help have a positive impact on the lives of the clients that you are supporting.
In addition to this, as you will be based in Harcourt Street STA, you will be expected to support staff on site with managing incidents and ensuring health and safety at all times. This role will also involve supporting staff with carrying out operational tasks and duties when you are on shift. As a Night Support Worker you’ll ensure effective and consistent best practice standards are followed in the Dublin Simon Community accommodation services. As well as our induction program, you will be provided with one week’s training and development before you commence in the role. You’ll report to the Outreach Service Manager and will have support from the Harcourt Street Service Manager and Night Supervisor.
Contract Type – Full time Permanent
Working Hours – 7 day liability Monday - Sunday
Shifts will be 22:00-08:00/ or 21:00-08:30 and will average at 37.5 Hours per week.
Salary Depending on experience - Range of €33,500 - €35,250
