HRM Search Partners represents a leading international building materials organisation based in Co. Cavan seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager for an 18-24 month contract.

Qualifications

• Strong supply chain management experience within manufacturing.
• Experience with inventory management and warehouse optimisation.
• Proven people leadership experience coordinating teams and SMEs.
• Broad understanding of manufacturing supply chains (planning, purchasing, logistics, distribution).
• Experience driving operational improvement, cost reduction or optimisation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management at senior leadership level.
• SAP experience advantageous; SAP S/4HANA preferred; other ERP platforms considered.

Job description

Our client is a leading international building materials organisation with a significant manufacturing and distribution operation in Co. Cavan. They are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join the business on an 18-24 month contract.

The position will provide operational leadership across supply chain while the business progresses through a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day supply chain performance, lead inventory and warehouse optimisation initiatives and coordinate key supply chain stakeholders and subject matter experts.

• Lead the supply chain function within a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Manage and optimise inventory levels, warehouse operations and overall supply chain performance.
• Lead and coordinate supply chain team members and functional SMEs, ensuring effective workload and priority management.
• Work closely with manufacturing, planning, purchasing, logistics and other operational functions.
• Act as a key supply chain interface with the business's SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.
• Identify and deliver opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost and strengthen operational performance.
• Maintain effective supply chain operations and business continuity throughout a period of significant systems transformation.

Experience

• Strong supply chain management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience across inventory management and warehouse optimisation.
• Proven people leadership experience, including managing teams and coordinating functional specialists.
• Broad understanding of manufacturing supply chains, including planning, purchasing, logistics and distribution.
• Experience driving operational improvement, cost reduction or supply chain optimisation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate effectively at senior leadership level.
• Experience with SAP would be advantageous, particularly SAP S/4HANA, although experience with other major ERP platforms will also be considered.
