Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking an experienced SC Inventory Planning Manager to lead end-to-end inventory planning, optimise working capital and balance demand with manufacturing and supplier capacity at our Dublin site. You will collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics and Finance to develop and implement inventory strategies, KPI monitoring and data-driven decision making.

This role requires strong SAP planning expertise and leadership in regulated manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

  • BSc QQI level 8 in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field.
  • Six Sigma advantageous.
  • Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or Digital Supply Chain qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage inventory planning processes to support SCM and wider business goals.
  • Fully utilise ERP planning logic and SAP functionality.
  • Formalise inventory budgeting process for working capital investment.
  • Optimise ECO process and engineering cutovers.
  • Work closely with SAP SCM development team.
  • Manage and mentor planning personnel.
  • Monitor inventory KPIs.
  • Implement inventory optimisation tools and systems.
  • Lead end-to-end supply planning processes including demand-supply balancing, rough-cut capacity planning and scenario modelling.
  • Own the Supply Planning component of the S&OP / IBP process and ensure alignment between customer demand, manufacturing capability and supplier capacity.
  • Develop and maintain inventory and supply chain strategies that optimise customer service, working capital and operational efficiency.
  • Lead supply chain risk management activities including supplier continuity planning, capacity constraints, geopolitical risk assessment and material shortage mitigation.
  • Partner with Strategic Procurement to drive supplier performance, lead-time reduction initiatives and inventory optimisation opportunities.
  • Drive supply chain transformation initiatives including digitisation, automation, planning system improvements and process standardisation.
  • Establish inventory segmentation strategies for raw materials, WIP, finished goods and spare parts.
  • Develop executive reporting and analytics to support data-driven decision making across Supply Chain leadership.
  • Ensure supply chain readiness for New Product Introduction (NPI), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and product phase-out activities.
  • Lead cross-functional projects focused on cost reduction, service improvement, inventory optimisation and operational excellence.
  • Support external and internal audits and ensure compliance with relevant quality, regulatory and inventory governance requirements.

SC Inventory Planning Manager

Job Summary

The SC Inventory Planning Manager is accountable for leading supply planning, inventory management and supply chain optimisation activities across the end-to-end supply chain. The role is responsible for balancing customer demand, manufacturing capability, supplier capacity and inventory investment to ensure optimal service levels, supply continuity and working capital performance.

Qualifications
  • BSc QQI level 8 in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field.

Preferred Skills & Experience

8+ years progressive experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, supply planning or integrated business planning within a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven leadership of S&OP / IBP processes.
  • Experience managing multi-million Euro inventory and working capital portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, procurement, logistics, inventory control and supply planning disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing planning systems, ERP enhancements or supply chain transformation programmes.
  • Experience within highly regulated manufacturing environments, ideally medical devices, life sciences, diagnostics, healthcare or biotechnology.
  • Advanced SAP planning expertise including MRP, supply planning and inventory optimisation functionality.
  • Strong Power BI, data visualisation and analytics capability.
  • Proven people leadership and change management experience.
