Job summary

Mainline is recruiting Electricians to work on ESB Framework substation projects in Southern Ireland. You will join an experienced project delivery team on-site and contribute to build, install and commission activities.

Qualified Electrician with substation experience and Safepass is essential. Strong communication, good organisational skills, and a willingness to progress toward PICW status are highly valued; MV/HV knowledge is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience of working on ESB sites would be an advantage.
• MV/HV knowledge would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.
• Work closely with the site management on such duties as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Diagnose systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of faults.
• Connect cables to circuit breakers, transformers, CT/VT or other components.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications.
• Oversee the assembly, install, and test, of electrical equipment and components.
