Job summary

Mainline is actively hiring electricians for substations and ESB framework projects, offering a permanent, full‑time position. The role is based on-site in Southern Ireland and includes development toward PICW status, with training and progression opportunities.

You will join an experienced project delivery team, tackling diverse framework projects, with emphasis on safety, quality, and proactive problem solving in a growing company.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician
• Substation experience is essential
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent organisational skills
• Safepass
• Experience of working on ESB sites would be an advantage
• MV/HV Knowledge would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.
• Work closely with the site management on duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Diagnose systems, equipment, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate faults.
• Connect cables to circuit breakers, transformers, CT/VT or other components.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications.
• Oversee the assembly, install, and test of electrical equipment and components.

Substation Electricians – ESB Framework

Your New Role

You will be part of an experienced project delivery team working on substations and ESB Framework projects.
