Job summary

ESB in Ireland seeks a Professional Electrical Engineer, Substations to lead HV substation design and safety coordination across transmission and distribution projects. You will produce designs, manage safety procedures, and coordinate inputs from multiple engineering disciplines with a focus on quality and budget adherence.

The role requires strong project management, knowledge of PSDP/CDMC processes, and experience with protection systems, power transformers, and EPLAN design tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing HV substations (10/20/38/110/220 kV).
• Knowledge of Control & Protection Systems and Auxiliary Power Systems.
• Experience with PSDP/CDMC processes is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality substation designs and safety coordination.
• Attend design meetings and manage deliverables to time and budget.
• Coordinate inputs from multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality requirements.
