Responsibilities will cover the items below:
The key responsibility of the role is to providehigh qualitydesigns and safety coordination on a diverse range of electricity transmission and distribution development projects. This includes:
Overall responsibility for producing substation designs, high voltage material lists attending design meetings and ensuring design deliverables are on time and budget and meets all the necessary quality requirements
A strong work ethic with a clear focus on delivering results within a tighttime framewhilst ensuring the safety and quality of the project is notimpacted
A proventrack recordof success contributing to the training and development of new entrants within the group
The ability to manage and coordinate inputs from a range of engineering disciplines and key stakeholders
A flexible approach to work, especially where necessary to deliver excellent customer service
The successful candidate will ideally have several of the qualities listed below:
Experience in a wide range of the design including transmission and distribution substations, forexample;(10/ 20 kV, 38 kV, 110 kV and 220 kV substation design).
Experience in Control & Protection Systems.
Experience in Auxiliary Power Systems (AC/DC).
Power Transformers and or Reactors.
Strong interpersonal skills
It is desirable that the candidate has achieved the following:
Understanding and experience of the PSDP/CDMC processes
Knowledge ofEplan5 andEplanP8 design software
Either level 8 in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline, or level 7 in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline with equivalent work experience or equivalent work experience is essential
