Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment partnered with a leading insurance company in central Dublin to recruit a Strategy and Performance Manager. The role supports the COO, develops strategic roadmaps, governance, and performance measurement, and is hybrid.

You will oversee governance for board papers, craft strategic narratives, manage planning and forecasting, and collaborate with Finance on benefits realisation and budgeting. 5+ years in strategic planning in insurance preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in strategic planning or senior roles in insurance or financial services.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Experience in governance, project delivery, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee governance processes for board papers and regulatory asks.
• Develop high-quality Board papers, strategic narratives, and senior-level presentations.
• Lead forward-looking planning processes for upcoming priorities and strategic themes.
• Track operational, financial, and strategic metrics (change delivery, cost & efficiency, vendor exposure, AI progress, resilience readiness).
• Collaborate with Finance on benefits realisation and budget management.
• Manage resources to efficiently achieve financial targets, implementing and executing the planning and forecasting.

My client, a leading insurance company is looking to recruit a Strategy and Performance Manager to support the Chief Operations Officer.The role is based in central Dublin and is hybrid.

This Strategy and Performance Manager is responsible for developing strategic and operational road maps, governance, and ensuring effective performance measurement.

This is not a traditional PMO role.

• Oversee governance processes for board papers, and regulatory asks, ensuring timely contributions.
• Develop high-quality Board papers, strategic narratives, and senior-level presentations.
• Lead forward-looking planning processes for upcoming priorities and strategic themes.
• Responsible for tracking operational, financial, and strategic metrics (change delivery, cost & efficiency, vendor exposure, AI progress, resilience readiness).
• Collaborate with Finance on benefits realisation and budget management.
• Manage resources to efficiently achieve financial targets, implementing and executing the planning and forecasting.

What skills You Need

• 5+ years in strategic planning, management consulting, or senior business roles (essential) in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Proven experience managing operational governance, project delivery, and performance metrics.
