Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking a Procurement Buyer to manage public procurement for end-to-end tender delivery within the Supply Chain function. The role focuses on compliant, efficient sourcing, aligning with policy and EU rules, and building strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.

The post holder will report to the Tender Delivery Procurement Technical Lead, contribute to continuous improvement, and ensure timely tenders in line with the Demand Plan and governance

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and/or relevant experience.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
• Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to compliance in line with business unit and Tender Delivery Team objectives.
• Focusing on efficient Tender delivery and quality customer service.
• Escalate on matters including tenders and P2P processing and relevant systems where required for the business.
• Responsible for adherence and compliance to policies and procedures and internal controls as per the Tender Delivery Team processes.
• Deliver tenders on schedule as per the approved firm Demand Plan agreed with Strategy, TDT, P&V and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to a high quality, responsive and effective Tender Delivery support service to all colleagues across the Uisce Éireann organisation.
• Ensure all processes and policies are compliant with relevant Supply Chain Governance Framework, best practise, policies, and procedures as set down by Leadership Team.
