Life Science Recruitment has a Dublin-based role for a Purchasing Manager with a national regulator. Lead the procurement function, shape strategy, ensure Irish and EU compliance, and drive sustainable purchasing practices.

The role requires at least 3 years in purchasing, including 2 years in public sector, plus knowledge of EU directives and governance. Central Dublin location with strong pension contributions is offered.

Qualifications

• Business degree and/or procurement qualification (CIPS/IIPMM) is required.
• Minimum 3 years purchasing experience, with at least 2 years in public sector procurement.
• In-depth knowledge of Irish and EU public procurement legislation.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team and manage stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop the purchasing team, including recruitment and succession planning.
• Design and implement the annual procurement strategy and plan.
• Provide guidance on procurement governance, EU Directives, and OGP guidelines.
• Manage end-to-end tendering processes and high-value contracts.
• Oversee supplier relationship management and performance.
• Champion green public procurement and sustainable initiatives.
• Monitor procurement risks and support audits and controls.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities.
• Prepare reports for senior management and the Board.
