Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager within the Business & Market Insights (B&MI) division. The role focuses on delivering large, cross‑functional technical programs, ensuring on‑time execution and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to operate independently in ambiguous, early‑stage environments.
• Proven experience managing complex technical programs across multiple teams and vendors.
• Strong expertise in agile delivery models and scrum practices.
• Track record of managing escalations, aligning stakeholders, and delivering large‑scale initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex issues to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of business strategy, technology landscape, and design trade‑offs.
• Demonstrated experience building relationships and influencing dependent teams across the organization.
• Experience helping establish or improve ways of working, delivery processes, or governance models is a plus.
• BS in engineering, computer science, project management or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Operate with a high degree of independence to address ambiguous problem spaces and drive execution.
• Help establish foundational program management practices and governance for a growing engineering organization.
• Lead coordination across internal teams and external vendors to align scope, timelines, and delivery outcomes.
• Bridge gaps between regions, architectures and vendors to create scalable cross‑team patterns.
• Manage escalations and drive resolution of delivery challenges impacting multiple teams.
• Serve as primary program contact, communicating with senior leadership and providing clear updates.
• Provide timely visibility into program status, risks and decisions for stakeholders.
• Facilitate dialogue across teams to resolve misalignment and enable predictable delivery.
• Oversee execution across multiple teams and domains and improve delivery processes.
• Support scaling of engineering squads across regions with repeatable delivery models.
