Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager to be the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of clients. This client-facing role blends relationship management, technical understanding, and strategic planning to help clients maximise value from technology.

You will engage with senior stakeholders, coordinate with service teams, and translate technical risks into clear business language. A 2-3+ year background in similar roles and MSP experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years' experience in a client-facing tech role.
• Experience in an MSP or outsourced IT environment is desirable.
• Strong understanding of MSP, Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, networks, infrastructure, and end-user support.
• Experience engaging with business owners, directors, and senior management.
• Ability to translate technical risks and recommendations into clear business language.
• Strong communication, relationship management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for senior management and key stakeholders within client organisations.
• Build trusted relationships and develop a strong understanding of each client's business, technology environment, and future plans.
• Lead regular client review meetings and ensure actions, risks, and recommendations are documented and delivered.
• Identify technical risks, recurring service issues, lifecycle concerns, and improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with Service Desk, Professional Services, and technical teams to coordinate service delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-3+ years' experience as a Technical Account Manager, IT Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, Service Delivery Manager, or similar client-facing technology role.
• Experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or outsourced IT environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of Managed IT Services, Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, networks, infrastructure, and end-user support.
• Experience engaging with business owners, directors, and senior management.
• Ability to translate technical risks and recommendations into clear business language.
• Strong communication, relationship management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
