Job summary

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Supply Chain Planner / Business Analyst for our client, a leading organisation based in Dublin. This role combines supply chain planning, inventory management and business analysis, with a focus on improving processes, systems and operational performance.

Key responsibilities include coordinating daily supply chain operations, planning shipments with ERP systems, supporting forecasting and supplier performance, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2:1 degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management or Engineering, or 5+ years' relevant supply chain experience.
• Strong Excel and ERP system experience.
• Understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations including planning, purchasing and logistics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills.
• Ability to identify process improvements and translate business needs into solutions.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily supply chain operations with suppliers, customers and internal teams.
• Plan product shipments using ERP systems, EPOS data and customer stock information.
• Support demand forecasting, purchasing, inventory management and supplier performance.
• Monitor KPIs, investigate issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Analyse processes and recommend improvements in efficiency and automation.
• Document business requirements, functional specifications and user stories.
• Work with technical teams on system enhancements, testing and implementation.
• Support supply chain strategy and multi-channel operations.
• Track the impact of changes and drive continuous improvement.
