Job summary

Silent Aire Dublin is seeking a meticulous Project Cost Analyst to support budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting throughout project lifecycles. You will partner with project teams and accounting to ensure accurate financial information and informed decision-making.

The role requires 1–3 years in project controls or related fields, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP/project accounting software. On-site work and collaboration across departments are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Project Management, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in project controls, project analysis, accounting, finance, or related discipline is an asset.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and financial analysis principles.
• Experience with project-based financial reporting is preferred.
• Experience in construction, industrial, energy, or engineering environments is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems and project accounting software is an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication, and ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Support development, maintenance, and control of project budgets and cost baselines.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, and budget performance throughout the lifecycle.
• Assist with monthly cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Analyze actual costs vs. budget and forecast to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather, validate, and analyze financial data.
• Support project setup and ongoing maintenance within accounting systems.
• Prepare project performance reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Identify potential cost risks and assist in mitigation strategies.
• Ensure project controls processes and reporting requirements are followed.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project controls, budgeting, and reporting processes.
