Job summary

Silent Aire Dublin is seeking a detail-oriented Project Cost Analyst to support project teams in planning, monitoring, and controlling budgets and costs throughout the project lifecycle.

The role collaborates with project analysts, managers, accounting, operations, procurement, and engineering to provide accurate financial information, perform cost reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Project Management, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in project controls, project analysis, accounting, finance, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and financial analysis fundamentals.
• Experience with project-based financial reporting is preferred.
• Experience in construction, industrial, energy, or engineering environments is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, maintenance, and control of project budgets and cost baselines.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, and budget performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with monthly cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Analyze actual costs against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather, validate, and analyze project financial data.
• Support project setup and ongoing maintenance within the accounting systems.
• Prepare project performance reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify potential cost risks and support the development of mitigation strategies.
• Ensure project controls processes and reporting requirements are followed consistently.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by project and management teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project controls, budgeting, and reporting processes.
