Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 1–3 years' experience in project controls, project analysis, or accounting.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.
• Experience with project-based financial reporting preferred.
• Experience in construction, industrial, energy, or engineering environments preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills: formulas, pivot tables, data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel and PowerPoint emphasized.
• Experience with ERP systems and project accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, detail-oriented, and communicative.

• Support the development, maintenance, and control of project budgets and cost baselines.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, and budget performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with monthly cost reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Analyze actual costs against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with project teams to gather, validate, and analyze project financial data.
• Support project setup and ongoing maintenance within the accounting systems.
• Prepare project performance reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify potential cost risks and support the development of mitigation strategies.
• Ensure project controls processes and reporting requirements are followed consistently.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by project and management teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project controls, budgeting, and reporting processes.

What we look for

• Experience working with project-based financial reporting is preferred.
• Experience in construction, industrial, energy, or engineering environments is considered an asset.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems and project accounting software is considered an asset.
