Job summary

Silent Aire Dublin, part of Johnson Controls, is seeking a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to lead cost planning, pricing, and commercial management across a portfolio of data centre and HVAC projects. You will develop RFQ packs, support procurement, and ensure robust cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 7+ years of QS experience, strong Excel and contract knowledge, and ability to produce cost reports and commercial evaluations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 7+ years’ relevant experience in quantity surveying or cost management.
• Strong experience in pricing and live project cost control.
• RFQ/tender package development and procurement management.
• Solid understanding of contract forms.
• Advanced Excel and cost management system skills.
• Strong commercial, analytical, and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and pricing models for new projects.
• Review feasibility studies, cost plans, and business cases.
• Provide early-stage cost advice to support PM decisions.
• Lead RFQ pack preparation and tender issuance.
• Manage tender processes from issuance to evaluation.
• Analyse quotations and provide commercial comparisons.
• Support contract negotiations and supplier onboarding.
• Monitor and control costs across live projects and report variances.
• Maintain change control procedures and cost impact assessments.
• Collaborate with PMO, procurement, and finance teams.
