Strategic Procurement Manager - Construction & Residential Development

Location: Dublin City Centre

Hybrid: 2 days working from home / 3 days office-based

Reporting to: Head of Procurement

I'm working with a leading residential developer who is looking to appoint a Procurement Manager to join their group procurement function.

This is a more strategic procurement role, focused on helping the business improve how it procures, plans and scales key construction packages across large residential developments.

The role will suit someone with a background in construction procurement, quantity surveying, commercial management or strategic sourcing who wants to move into a more strategic, group-level position within a large-scale residential development business.

The successful candidate will be involved in:

• Strategic procurement planning across key construction and subcontract packages
• Category planning and supplier relationship management
• Supporting the business in scaling delivery across residential developments
• Subcontractor and supply chain engagement
• Procurement reporting, market analysis and inflation tracking
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings, innovation and process improvement
• Working closely with commercial, construction, technical and senior leadership teams
• Managing and supporting direct reports within the procurement function

This would suit someone with 7+ years' experience across construction, QS, procurement or supply chain management, ideally with exposure to residential, developer, main contractor or subcontract package procurement environments.

• A Procurement Manager / Category Manager from a construction, residential, developer, main contractor or subcontractor environment.
• A Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS / Commercial Manager who has strong procurement, subcontractor package, cost planning or supply chain experience and wants to move into a more strategic procurement role.
• A Strategic Sourcing Manager / Supply Chain Manager with experience around construction materials, subcontract packages, supplier frameworks, negotiation and long-term procurement planning.
• A Pre-Construction / Estimating / Commercial professional who has been heavily involved in tendering, package comparisons, supplier engagement, market pricing and value engineering.
• A Residential developer or main contractor professional who understands how to scale construction delivery through smarter procurement, category planning and stronger supply chain relationships.

Strong negotiation skills, commercial awareness, Excel/reporting ability and a continuous improvement mindset will be important. CIPS or similar procurement qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential.
