Job summary

Jobtailor in Ireland is seeking an experienced planning professional to lead medium to large-scale planning applications and oversee end-to-end project delivery. The role requires strong stakeholder management, community engagement, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have Chartered IPI Planner credentials and a solid understanding of the Irish planning system, with a track record of delivering complex Strategic Infrastructure Development projects.

Qualifications

• Chartered IPI Planner status or RTPI equivalent required.
• Strong understanding of the Irish planning system and planning processes.
• Experience managing planning applications from preparation to submission.
• Ability to coordinate consultants, graduates and administrative staff.
• Proven ability to lead complex planning projects.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead role in managing medium to large scale planning applications.
• Oversee all stages of projects from preparation to submission.
• Coordinate work with Planning Consultants, Graduate Consultants, and Administrators.
• Lead smaller projects.
• Support senior colleagues on larger, more complex SID projects.
• Carry out tasks assigned by project leads.
• Formulate planning strategies and identify key planning issues associated with development sites.
• Manage stakeholders through client, project and Local Planning Authority meetings.
• Participate in or lead community engagement and consultation activities.
• Contribute to or chair meetings and present to small audiences.
• Support business development and identify new business opportunities.
• Coordinate workloads, delegate effectively, and address resourcing issues.
