Job summary

Life Science Recruitment seeks a high-calibre Purchasing Manager to lead procurement for a major multinational client in Co. Waterford. This strategic role focuses on delivering value through sophisticated sourcing, supplier management, and agile processes during growth and acquisitions.

You will drive SAP S/4 HANA and Coupa implementations, harmonise category strategies across business units, and mentor a procurement team to excel in direct and indirect spend.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of procurement experience, ideally in Life Science
• Proven leadership experience in a multinational or complex corporate structure
• Degree in Technical or Business discipline, preferably Supply chain
• Proficiency with SAP SCM, Ariba and Power BI
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the procurement team to align with business priorities.
• Manage supplier base for direct and indirect categories, focusing on laboratory informatics, software licensing, and telecommunications.
• Conduct market assessments and lead high-value negotiations.
• Support rollout and operation of SAP S/4 HANA and Coupa.
• Collaborate with global teams to implement harmonised category strategies.
• Oversee procurement aspects of new business integrations.
