Job summary

Gas Networks Ireland is seeking a Project Delivery Engineer to support end-to-end planning and delivery of the Strategic Gas Emergency Reserve initiative. You will manage workstreams, coordinate with PMO, and liaise with external suppliers and consultants to deliver design, procurement, construction and commissioning.

The role requires a third-level engineering degree and 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in delivery of projects within energy or utility sectors, strong project

Qualifications

• Third level degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years post-qualification project delivery experience in gas/utility/construction sectors.
• Knowledge of PSDP/PSCS roles and risk management systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for delivery of specified workstreams within a cross-functional team.
• Plan and oversee end-to-end delivery, coordinating with PMO and external suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and monitor progress weekly.
• Prepare documentation for budget approvals and investment governance.
• Coordinate tender and contract documents for third-party services.
• Liaise with Local Authorities and utility stakeholders across project lifecycle.
• Contribute to risk mitigation, change control and project reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Sustainability requirements.
• Assist in contractor payments and relationships at project level.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain project records.
