Job summary

EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to manage the day-to-day finance function at our Dublin location. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead a five-person team, oversee month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting and compliance across multiple entities.

You will drive process improvements, optimize use of finance systems and automation, and partner with Heads of Department to provide accurate financial information that supports strategic

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CPA certification.
• Experience in Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role.
• Strong experience in preparing management accounts, financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Good understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and accounting standards.
• Experience managing a finance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Finance team of five, ensuring work is accurate and on time.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and banking.
• Prepare month-end close, management accounts and financial reports.
• Coordinate annual budgeting and forecasts, monitor cash flow and working capital.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate year-end accounts and audits.
