Job summary

Wallace Myers International in Wicklow seeks a Financial Controller to lead the finance function and partner with senior management on strategy. This hands-on role covers accounting, reporting, budgeting and controllership across operations.

You will drive cash forecasting, KPI reporting, VAT and compliance, and support commercial decisions with insightful analysis. The role offers exposure to growth projects within a growing Irish FMCG/manufacturing business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior finance roles (Financial Controller/Finance Manager).
• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing or stock-based environments is highly desirable.
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting skills.
• Experience managing cashflow, inventory and financial controls.
• Commercial mindset with ability to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finance operations and financial controls.
• Prepare management accounts, budgets, forecasts and KPI reporting.
• Partner with senior leadership on profitability, pricing and growth initiatives.
• Oversee cashflow forecasting, working capital management and banking relationships.
• Lead month-end close, AP/AR, payroll and credit control.
• Manage stock accounting, inventory controls and reconciliations.
• Oversee VAT, payroll, excise and statutory compliance.
• Lead the annual audit and liaise with external advisors.
