Job summary

ICDS (UK) Ltd is seeking a Construction Director | Business Unit Lead for Energy to guide a newly formed energy unit across Ireland and the UK. This role is responsible for safe, profitable delivery of major energy infrastructure projects including renewables, BESS, CHP, substations, grid connections and power generation.

You will oversee the full lifecycle from bid and planning through construction, commissioning and handover, driving commercial performance, governance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 15+ years' experience delivering major energy or power infrastructure projects.
• Strong track record of leading multidisciplinary teams and complex project portfolios.
• Expertise in energy generation, renewable technologies, substations and grid infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of complex energy infrastructure projects.
• Drive commercial performance, risk management and operational excellence.
• Provide strategic leadership across design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Build and mentor high-performing project and construction teams.
• Manage key client, utility, OEM and stakeholder relationships.
• Champion innovation, digital delivery and continuous improvement.
