Job summary

CEL Critical Power Ltd. seeks a detail-oriented Cost and Management Accountant to support financial performance across LV switchgear projects. The role collaborates with Program, Project, Finance and Operations teams to provide insights for informed decision-making and project success.

You will own standard costs, BOM costing, overhead allocation, variance analysis, and budgeting support in a manufacturing/data centre environment, driving cost efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification preferred.
• 3–5+ years of cost or management accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, overhead allocation and absorption costing.
• Experience in product or job costing methodologies.
• High proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or data centre environments.
• Exposure to BOM costing and WIP accounting.
• Familiarity with IFRS 15 for long-term contracts.
• Experience partnering with project managers in a project-based business.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain standard cost cards for products and services including BOM costing.
• Develop and update costing for manufactured/assembled power units as inputs change.
• Design and communicate overhead allocation and absorption costing rates.
• Conduct periodic cost reviews reflecting current ops and market reality.
• Support make-vs-buy decisions with structured financial analysis.
• Produce monthly cost centre P&L reports with actionable commentary.
