Job summary

IN2 Engineering is seeking a Commercial / Business Development Manager to drive growth across Ireland, managing strategic relationships and winning new work in Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Education, Data Centres and Life Sciences sectors.

The role is client-facing and requires a strong network of Irish industry contacts, with a track record in business development and a deep understanding of the market. Based in Dublin, Athlone or Belfast with a flexible, office-backed setup.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in the built environment sector.
• Strong track record in business development, client management, or winning work within a consultancy, contractor, or supplier organisation.
• Deep understanding of the Irish engineering, construction, and property markets.
• Well-established network of developers, architects, contractors, and industry contacts in Ireland.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience within MEP, engineering consultancy, sustainability, or technical consultancy environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to support long-term growth.
• Build relationships with developers, architects, contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
• Identify and secure new project opportunities within the Irish construction and property sectors.
• Lead bids, tenders, presentations, and other work-winning activities.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
• Work with technical and marketing teams to strengthen market positioning and brand awareness.
• Manage sales pipelines, CRM activity, and client relationship programmes.
