Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking an Operational Commercial Analyst to support the Commercial & Efficiencies team in ensuring optimum effectiveness and efficiency from supplier contracts and spend within Asset Operations.

You will report to the Compliance Technical Lead and work with Asset Operations, Finance and Supply Chain to deliver robust end-to-end cost analysis, P2P improvements, and governance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Relevant third level qualification in Finance, Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Contract/Commercial Management or a related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a commercial/compliance environment ideally in water services or similar utility.
• Experience in the water industry or similar utilities would be desirable.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
• Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint Presentations, Excel Power BI.
• Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate complex information to others.
• Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results within a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead work packages within the Commercial and Efficiencies team such as monitoring financial performance and delivering efficiencies.
• Deliver reporting and process improvements to develop cost insight and predict cost changes and the OPEX impact of the Capital Investment Plan.
• Identify, develop and implement efficiency initiatives across Asset Operations.
• Contribute to building an operational commercial and compliance centre of excellence.
• Identify improvements to reduce supplier payments on hold and improve P2P processes.
• Ensure all relevant commercial information is recorded and reported for audit purposes.
• Contribute to development of business improvement processes and procedures.
• Liaise with Asset Operations and other functions to deliver governance of all Asset Operations activities and spend profiles.
• Analyze spend data to ensure LVPC policy compliance.
• Attend stakeholder meetings and raise risks and issues.
• Carry out other duties as required.
