Job summary

Wtech Fire & Security Technology Ltd is seeking a reliable Stores Operative to manage day-to-day receipt, storage and issue of stock at our warehouse in Ireland. You will ensure engineers and project teams receive the right parts on time and maintain accurate stock records.

Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, this role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We value equality, diversity and inclusion and support reasonable accommodations throughout recruitment.

Qualifications

• Full clean driving licence required.
• Experience with inbound and outbound logistics.
• Computer skills and basic IT literacy.
• Enthusiastic, hard-working and able to work in a team.
• Self-driven and autonomous work approach.
• Familiarity with KPI driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and check against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Book goods into the stock system on receipt.
• Store stock safely and in the correct locations.
• Carry out cycle counts and support stocktakes.
• Report shortages or damaged items to purchasing.
• Pick, pack and issue parts to engineers and project sites.
• Follow site health and safety rules and handling procedures.
• Handle and store regulated items safely, such as fire extinguishers.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a reliable Stores Operative to run the day-to-day receipt, store and issue of stock at our warehouse. You will make sure engineers and project teams get the right parts and equipment at the right time, and that stock records are accurate.

Reporting to: Stores Supervisor

Hours: 40hrs per week

Days: Monday – Friday

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Full Clean driving licence.
• Experience of inbound and outbound logistics.
• Computer experience.
• Enthusiastic, hard-working and capable of working as part of a team.
• Self-Driven and able to work autonomously.
• Familiarity with KPI driven environments.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

• First Aid & Fire Warden Certified.
• Combi-lift multi directional or aisle master forklift experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive deliveries and check them against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Report shortages, damage or incorrect items to purchasing and suppliers.
• Book goods into the stock system accurately and on the day of receipt.
• Store stock safely and in the correct locations, keeping the stores clean and organised.
• Carry out regular cycle counts and support periodic full stocktakes.
• Investigate and report stock discrepancies.
• Flag low stock and reorder needs to the supervisor or purchasing team.
• Pick, pack and issue parts and equipment to engineers, vans and project sites against job or requisition numbers.
• Prepare kits for installation and service jobs.
• Process returns from site and book them back into stock .
• Follow site health and safety rules, manual handling procedures and safe stacking practices.
• Handle and store regulated items correctly, such as pressurised fire extinguisher cylinders and gas suppression containers, in line with site procedures.
