Job summary

Ideal Fire Ltd. (part of the Wtech Fire Group) in Dublin is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join our service team. You will maintain and service life safety systems under contract, liaising with customers and ensuring compliance with IS 3218/IS 3217 standards.

The role requires a self-starting, independent worker with excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English. A full Irish driving licence is required, and training is provided for those with prior

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years' experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
• Full Irish driving licence for at least 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on all life safety systems.
• Trace issues and conduct fault finding.
• Ensure compliance with I.S. 3218 and I.S. 3217.
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately and promptly.
• Liaise with customers to understand and fulfil requirements.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Work collaboratively as part of the service team.
• Participate in the on-call rota to address service needs.

Ideal Fire Ltd. (part of the Wtech Fire Group) supply, design, install, commission and provide certification on all life safety systems. We provide remote monitoring and maintenance on a wide range of systems.

The Role

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on all types of life safety systems covered under contract.
• Utilise problem-solving skills to trace issues and conduct effective fault finding.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, specifically I.S. 3218 and I.S. 3217.
• Complete all necessary documentation related to maintenance works accurately and promptly.
• Liaise with customers to understand and fulfil their requirements.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Work collaboratively as part of our service team.
• Participate in the on-call rota to address service needs efficiently.
• Must have 2+yrs' experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer.
• Must have full Irish drivers licence for at least 12months.
• Demonstrate a self-starting attitude and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Fluent in verbal and written English.
• Capability to work both individually and as part of a team.
• Prior experience in the Fire Alarm industry is an advantage but not required as training will be provided.
• Knowledge of I.S. 3218 and I.S. 3217 standards.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
