Job summary

Intersport Elverys is looking for an experienced Sales Assistant to support daily store operations and management in Drogheda. You will help open/close, manage stock and cash, and ensure customers receive a personal, positive service experience. A strong product knowledge and a friendly, energetic personality are essential.

The role supports midweek and weekend rostering with flexibility, offering opportunities for progression within the team. Retail experience and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years retail experience required.
• A warm, friendly and engaging personality is essential.
• Great communication skills – outgoing, energetic, and focused on delivering a great customer experience.
• Strong product knowledge.
• Experience in Visual Merchandising desirable.
• Ability to manage workload and delegate tasks.
• Must be trustworthy and honest.
• Proficient computer skills; particularly excel, word and email.
• Available to work and provide adequate cover at least one Sunday in four.

Responsibilities

• Open/close store in absence of management, end-of-day recovery and cashing up.
• Assign tasks to staff and ensure procedures are followed.
• Provide personal and positive service experience to customers.
• Know our product catalogue and current promotions.
• Engage with customers to offer best products for needs and optimise sales.
• Lead with visual merchandising standards in-store.
• Use store tools including Assisted Selling, Safesize, e-receipts, radio systems.
• Coordinate and forward cash, stock, reports in absence of management.
• Ensure daily deliveries and stock management procedures are followed.
• Carry out other retail duties as required.
