Job summary

Daybreak in Galway is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, lead a team, and ensure excellent service to our customers.

You will drive sales and profitability, manage scheduling and rostering, implement planograms, and monitor KPIs to meet targets with the Store Owner.

You will foster a safe, inclusive environment, engage with new initiatives, and uphold high standards of merchandising and customer care across the store.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a relevant retail management position.
• Understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets.
• Strong ability to read and action reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Highly driven with a strong work ethic.
• Passion for grocery retail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the store.
• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Owner.
• Implement planograms correctly and ensure correct range is in place in the store.
• Manage employee rostering and annual leave and maintain accurate and secure records.
• Engage with the Store Owner on a regular basis.
• Ensure merchandising and presentation of the entire store is of the highest standard at all times and in accordance with store planograms and guidelines.
• Develop and promote good communication between employees and management in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.
• Deal with customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy.
• Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
