Job summary

Intersport Elverys is seeking a Sales Assistant to support daily store operations and supervise in the absence of management. You will open/close the store, manage deliveries, stock, and cashing up, while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires at least two years in retail, strong communication, and a passion for sport. Weekend rostering, including Sundays, is part of the schedule. A proactive, team‑oriented approach is essential for success in this busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years retail experience required.
• Great communication skills – outgoing, energetic, and focused on delivering a great customer experience.
• Available to work and provide adequate cover at least one Sunday in four.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word and email.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the store, end-of-day recovery, deliveries, stock management and cashing up.
• Assign tasks to staff and ensure correct procedures are followed.
• Provide every customer with a personal and positive service experience.
• Maintain knowledge of our product catalogue and current promotions.
• Lead by example in visual merchandising and store operations.
• Coordinate cash, stock, and reports in the absence of management.
• Carry out daily retail duties including sales and customer service.
