Job summary

Intersport Elverys at Kinsale Road Retail Centre, Cork, Ireland, is seeking a part-time Sales Assistant to support daily store operations and provide a personal, positive service experience. The role requires flexibility for midweek and weekend rostering and involves stock management, opening/closing duties and merchandising to uphold high standards.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of retail experience, are friendly, communicative, and capable of handling busy periods with initiative.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years retail experience required.
• Warm, friendly and engaging personality essential.
• Great communication skills and customer focus.
• Visual merchandising experience desirable.
• Ability to manage workload and delegate tasks.
• Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, email).
• Available to work Sundays on a rotating basis.
• Initiative to undertake additional tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of management.
• Stock management, deliveries and end of day recovery.
• Assign tasks to staff and ensure correct procedures.
• Provide personal, positive service to every customer.
• Maintain knowledge of product catalogue and promotions.
• Lead by example in visual merchandising standards.
