Job summary

Learnosity, a global EdTech leader, is building Upskill, an AI-first enterprise learning platform from Dublin. We seek a Staff Software Engineer to design, implement, and own core backend across multiple engineering pods, shaping the next generation of learning assessments and real-time scoring.

You will write production Python daily, mentor peers, and drive architectural decisions with senior leadership while delivering high-impact features in a fast-moving startup-style environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Python in professional settings.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issues.
• Experience setting up or configuring CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Great knowledge of design patterns and backend architecture best practices.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, modify, and support software for Upskill.
• Hands-on production Python work daily and tackle high-risk components.
• Diagnose complex issues and ship permanent fixes.
• Support and enable Engineering pods to follow architectural best practices.
• Collaborate with VP of Engineering and team leads on planning and delivery.
• Maintain documentation and ensure cross-team alignment on architecture.
