We are hiring Staff Nursefor one of the best Nursing Homes in Carlow who is passionate about improving the quality of life of their residents and places a strong importance on social, physical, and mental stimulation.
Hourly Salary Range: €19.50 – €21.00 per hour
Salary Details: DOE (Depending on Experience)
This position is open only to applicants who hold EU/EEA citizenship or have an existing, unrestricted right to work in Ireland.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, safe, and effective nursing care in accordance with NMBI standards
Assess, plan, implement, and review individualised care plans
Administer medications safely and accurately in line with organisational policies
Monitor, document, and respond promptly to changes in residents’ clinical conditions
Lead, support, and supervise care staff during shifts
Promote residents’ independence, dignity, and overall quality of life
Communicate effectively with residents, families, GPs, and the multidisciplinary team
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records
Ensure ongoing compliance with HIQA regulations, policies, and best practice guidelines
Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
Strong clinical knowledge with a clear commitment to person-centred care
Previous experience in elderly care
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
Fluent written and spoken English
Garda clearance and satisfactory professional references
