Job summary

Avista is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to lead Community Residential Services in Limerick. The role requires NMBI registration, a recognised management qualification (FETAC/QQI Level 6 or equivalent), and at least five years post‑registration nursing experience, including three years in disability services.

You will ensure compliance with HIQA standards, oversee rostering and leave planning, work with families and the MDT, and support staff in a person‑centred, rights‑based approach.

• Full Clean Driving Licence required.
• Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience, 3 in disability services.

Responsibilities

CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER 2

REQ:

Management Qualification- Possess a Recognised Management Qualification FETAC/QQI Level 6 or equivalent.

Have at least 5 years of post-registration nursing experience of which 3 must be within disability services.

Have previous experience at CNM1 level within the area of Intellectual Disability

Full Clean Irish Driving License for Manual Vehicles and access to own car.

Proficiency in the English language.

Have completed mandatory training.

Proven managerial, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Have a detailed knowledge of the HIQA standards / regulations and Health Act 2007 and have the ability to maintain compliance with HIQA.

Have a detailed knowledge of the rostering and managing the rostering arrangements and leave planning for staff.

Have a detailed knowledge of the role of the Person in Charge and the ability to complete same.

Have a detailed knowledge of rostering and managing the rostering arrangements and leave planning for staff.

• Be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative and the capacity to manage change.
• Have previous experience in relation to autism and mental health
• Have the ability to work effectively with families and the wider MDT
