Job summary

Kiltipper Woods Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy in Dublin is seeking a Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The role involves inpatient rehabilitation, group exercise classes, and liaising with acute services to optimise patient recovery.

You will deliver high-quality care in an inpatient setting, supervise student physiotherapists, and help develop outpatient hydrotherapy and neurology services while maintaining evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree or equivalent.
• Candidate must be a CORU member and the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists or eligible for membership.
• Interest in rehabilitation of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neurology.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• To deliver a high-quality clinical service of inpatient rehabilitation physiotherapy as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• To deliver inpatient group exercise and education classes e.g. falls prevention classes.
• Liaising with family members and acute services where indicated.
• To ensure appropriate record keeping and electronic patient record maintenance.
• To work to the standards of evidence-based management in treatment of patients.
• To communicate with members of the MDT and wider community services when planning discharges.
• To work with a wider Physiotherapy team in providing a quality service that is committed to ongoing learning and CPD forums.
• To supervise student Physiotherapists while on placement.
• To provide rehabilitation to long‑term care residents where indicated.
• To develop skills in outpatient physiotherapy and provision of hydrotherapy treatment.

Kiltipper Woods Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy provides a comprehensive range of specialist therapies:

• In -Patient short stay Rehabilitation /Convalescence Care for Dublin Acute Hospital
• Outpatient Services - including hydrotherapy, musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy and classes

We are seeking to recruit a Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy team. This post would be an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Physiotherapist to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a busy inpatient setting. The caseload consists of a range of patients who have been discharged from acute and private hospitals. This is a satisfying post that involves working alongside patients to facilitate their return to home while optimising their quality of life. These patients include orthopaedic, neurology, care of the elderly and respiratory patients. The post holder would work as part of a dynamic Physiotherapy team with a broad range of experience.

The outpatient service offers hydrotherapy and land-based treatment to patients with neurological, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions. This service offers small group classes e.g. hydro classes, pilates and general conditioning classes.
