Job summary

Medforce is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join the Paediatric Primary Care Team in North Dublin. You will manage a varied paediatric caseload and work with families, schools and healthcare professionals to support children in achieving developmental goals.

The role emphasizes independent practice within a multidisciplinary setting, ongoing professional development and a supportive team dedicated to community paediatric services.

Qualifications

• Required: Degree in Physiotherapy.
• Required: CORU registration.
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Paediatric physiotherapy experience is essential.
• Strong communication, organisational and clinical reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children with developmental/physical needs.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans and home programmes.
• Support gross motor development, mobility, coordination, strength and functional independence.
• Collaborate with parents, schools and MDT members (OT, SLT, Psychology, Social Work).
• Deliver parent education and support programmes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision and service development.

We are currently recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist to join the Paediatric Primary Care Teambased in North Dublin.

The successful candidate will manage a varied paediatric caseload and work closely with families, schools, and healthcare professionals to support children in achieving their developmental and functional goals.

Key Responsibilities of the Physiotherapist

• Provide physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children with a range of developmental and physical needs
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans and home programmes
• Support children with gross motor development, mobility, coordination, strength, and functional independence
• Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and multidisciplinary team members including Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Psychology, and Social Work
• Deliver parent education and support programmes
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports
• Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and service development initiatives

Requirements for the Physiotherapist

• Degree in Physiotherapy
• CORU registration
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
• Paediatric physiotherapy experience essential
• Strong communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Desirable

• Experience within primary care or disability services
• Experience working with children with complex needs and developmental delays
• Access to own transport and full driver’s licence
