Job summary

A well-established disability service in North Dublin is looking for a motivated Physiotherapist to provide person-centred physiotherapy services. The role entails working within a multidisciplinary team to assist individuals with physical and developmental needs, focusing on their independence and quality of life. Candidates should hold a BSc in Physiotherapy and be registered with CORU. The position offers a salary aligned with HSE pay scales and opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities (including clinical placements).
  • Experience in paediatric and/or adult disability services.
  • Experience in postural management, seating, or assistive technology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and intervention for individuals with physical, neurological, and developmental needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised, goal-focused treatment plans.
  • Support mobility, posture management, and functional independence.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
  • Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join a well-established disability service in North Dublin.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality, person-centred physiotherapy services to individuals with a range of physical and developmental needs. This role offers the opportunity to work across community and clinical settings, supporting service users to maximise independence, mobility, and overall quality of life.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated physiotherapist with an interest in disability services and interdisciplinary team working.

Key Responsibilities of the Physiotherapist
  • Provide assessment and intervention for individuals with physical, neurological, and developmental needs
  • Develop and implement individualised, goal-focused treatment plans
  • Support mobility, posture management, and functional independence
  • Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, social workers, and other MDT members
  • Provide education and support to families, carers, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards
  • Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
Essential Criteria for the Physiotherapist
  • BSc (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy
  • Current CORU registration
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities (including clinical placements)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in paediatric and/or adult disability services
  • Experience in postural management, seating, or assistive technology
  • Full clean driving licence and access to own transport (depending on service needs)
