Job summary

St Michael's House in Ballymun, Dublin, invites applications for CREATE 3 Project Lead (Grade 6). This full-time, specified-purpose role is for about one year with potential extension subject to external funding, reporting to the Director of Nursing.

The post focuses on digital inclusion for people with disabilities, building on existing digital supports and collaborating with health and education partners to empower users in a tech-enabled society.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in the disability sector.
  • Interest in how digital and assistive technologies can support people with disabilities to improve their quality of life.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Degree in Social Care, RNID) or significant experience in supporting people with a disability to use digital and/or assistive technology.
  • Experience in training or coaching people with intellectual disabilities.
  • A strong track record in advocacy and supporting the voices of people with disabilities.
  • Experience in data analysis and report writing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A full driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and support the use of the HSE Health Passport App.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to promote digital inclusion and the use of digital and assistive technologies.

Key Working Relationships

Nursing Department, Quality and Safety Department, WorkAbility, Activity Hub, SMH Foundation, external digital and assistive technology teams, third-level institutions and other disability service providers.

Overall Purpose of the Role

The CREATE 3 Project Lead will build on an established suite of digital supports that empower people with disabilities to navigate and thrive in an increasingly digital society. The role will operate both within the organisation and in collaboration with another disability service provider, contributing to a broader national approach to digital inclusion.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Co-design and deliver workshops with and for people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Lead a quality improvement initiative to strengthen the voice of people with disabilities through the development of accessible Person Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) pathways.
  • Support individuals to develop practical digital skills, including online banking, telehealth, smart home technologies and digital supports for daily living.

Salary

Salary will be aligned with the HSE revised consolidated Grade 6 salary scale (35-hour week).

Salary Scale: The successful candidate will be paid in line with the June 2026 HSE revised consolidated Grade VI pay scale (point 1; €58,477 – point 7; €71,442 LSIs per annum based on working a 35-hour week). Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above.
