Job summary

AMCS Group in Ireland is seeking a highly skilled DevOps/SRE Tech Lead to join our engineering team. You will mentor DevOps engineers and participate in architectural decisions to ensure reliability, scalability, and a positive customer experience.

You will build SLIs/SLOs, lead incident response, enhance monitoring stacks, and drive cost-efficient modernization across Azure, AWS, and GCP with Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenTelemetry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE or related fields, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role.
• Cloud providers: Azure, AWS, and GCP with hands-on architecture experience.
• Containerization experience with Kubernetes.
• Scripting: PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Monitoring and logging with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.
• Automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.

Responsibilities

• Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs with cross-team alignment.
• Lead incident response and drive faster MTTR.
• Evolve monitoring and observability stack with a customer-centric lens.
• Run blameless RCAs and postmortems to improve reliability.
• Ensure high availability and performance; optimize for cost across cloud platforms.
• Collaborate on architectural design and decisive technical leadership.
