Job summary

Deciphex is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to protect sensitive data across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and AWS-hosted products. This hands-on role sits in the Digital Trust & Transformation Office and reports to the Principal Engineer - Cybersecurity & DevOps.

Expect a lean team, ownership of data security controls, and the chance to shape how data is classified, shared and protected. In the first year you will implement data loss prevention, least-privilege access, and security reviews

Qualifications

• 5/6+ years hands-on security engineering.
• DLP or information-protection experience in Google Workspace: sharing controls, labels and rules.
• Microsoft 365 data security: Purview, SharePoint permissions, Entra ID.
• Strong access-control fundamentals across SaaS and cloud.
• Python scripting and API automation.
• Investigate data access/movement using audit logs or SIEM.

Responsibilities

• Build and run technical controls for data confidentiality across cloud and on-premises.
• Design and tune data loss prevention and information-protection controls.
• Enforce least privilege, run access reviews, fix oversharing and log external sharing.
• Oversee encryption/key-management requirements for cloud data stores.
• Perform security reviews of new tools/integrations touching data.
• Collaborate with product/data/privacy teams on risk and controls.
• Monitor data access/movement in audit logs and security hubs.
• Lead data-incidents: scope, contain, preserve evidence, brief teams.
• Support data subject and customer data requests; automate evidence collection with tooling.
