Job summary

Deciphex in Ireland is seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer to protect sensitive data across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and AWS. This remote, Ireland-only role reports to the Principal Engineer - Cybersecurity & DevOps and features a lean, ownership‑driven DTO team.

Over 5/6+ years of security engineering, you will design and run data-loss prevention, enforce least privilege, audit data flows, and automate security tasks with Python and APIs to safeguard patient and research data.

Qualifications

• 5/6+ years of hands-on security engineering with production ownership.
• Hands-on DLP or information-protection experience in Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 data security: Purview, SharePoint permissions.
• Strong access-control fundamentals across SaaS and cloud.
• Python scripting and API automation; AI tooling experience.
• Able to investigate data access/movement using audit logs and SIEM.
• Able to collaborate with product, engineering, privacy and security teams.
• Experience with health or regulated data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and run technical controls across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and AWS.
• Design, deploy and tune data loss prevention and information protection controls.
• Enforce least privilege; run access reviews and log external sharing.
• Monitor data access and movement in audit logs and security hubs.
• Lead the technical side of data incidents and evidence preservation.
• Automate administration, investigation and reporting with Python and APIs.
