Job summary

Chef Recruiters Ltd. is seeking a motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and run a busy kitchen in Ireland. You will lead the team during service, ensure high standards of food, presentation and hygiene, and help manage stock and menu development.

This full-time, permanent role offers €50,000+ per year, with opportunities for progression, staff meals, and a friendly, professional environment including weekly bonus and staff events.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or senior kitchen role.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety.
• Ability to lead a kitchen during service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service.
• Prepare and cook high-quality food.
• Manage your section and ensure service runs smoothly.
• Assist with menus, specials and daily preparation.
• Support stock control, ordering and food cost management.
• Train and support junior chefs.
• Maintain HACCP, hygiene and food safety standards.
• Take responsibility for the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent.

The Role

You’ll play a key part in the daily running of the kitchen, leading the team during service and ensuring consistently high standards of food, presentation and hygiene.

• Managing your section and ensuring service runs smoothly

• Supporting stock control, ordering and food cost management
• Training and supporting junior chefs
• Maintaining HACCP, hygiene and food safety standards
• Taking responsibility for the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for aSous Chef with previous experience, although strong Chef de Parties ready to take the next step will also be considered.
