Job summary

A well-established law firm in Galway is seeking a Conveyancing Solicitor to join its team, with a strong focus on residential and commercial property matters. The role offers varied work and the opportunity to advise private and business clients across a broad range of property transactions.

Key duties include managing conveyancing files from instruction to completion, handling title investigations, and coordinating with clients, lenders and other professionals.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 1 year’s PQE.
• Solid experience in conveyancing is essential.
• Commercial property experience would be an advantage.
• Experience of banking, lending or development transactions would be beneficial but not essential.
• Strong organisational and client-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing residential and commercial conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Advising clients on the purchase and sale of residential and investment properties.
• Advising on commercial property matters, including leases and development.
• Assisting with commercial lending transactions, particularly for developers.
• Carrying out title investigations in connection with property purchases, sales and lending transactions.
• Managing Land Registry applications, perfecting title and resolving queries.
• Working closely with clients, colleagues and other advisers throughout transactions.
• Maintaining an organised caseload and meeting deadlines.
• Supporting business development and networking activities where appropriate.

The Role

The successful candidate will advise both private and business clients across a broad range of property matters, including residential and commercial transactions.

• Managing residential and commercial conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion
• Advising clients on the purchase and sale of residential and investment properties
• Advising on commercial property matters, including commercial leases and property development
• Assisting with commercial lending transactions, particularly those involving developers
• Carrying out title investigations in connection with property purchases, sales and lending transactions
• Managing Land Registry applications, perfecting title and resolving queries where required
• Working closely with clients, colleagues and other professional advisers throughout transactions
• Maintaining an organised and efficient caseload while meeting relevant deadlines
• Supporting business development and networking activities where appropriate

Key Skills & Experience

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 1 years' PQE
• Solid experience in conveyancing is essential
• Commercial property experience would be an advantage
• Experience of banking, lending or development transactions would be beneficial but is not essential
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
