Activ8 Solar Energies is seeking a Solar PV Installer to join our Naas-based installations team. You’ll install solar PV systems on residential buildings and ground-mounted sites, with six weeks of comprehensive, industry-specific training provided.

The role requires living within a commutable distance of Naas, a background as a Roofer or in cladding/industrial glazing, and comfortable working at height with a harness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Roofer or have previous experience in Cladding/Industrial glazing.

Responsibilities

• Installation of Solar PV systems on residential buildings & ground-mounted systems.
• Respond to on-site requirements with hands-on electrical and mechanical tasks.
• Ensure health and safety compliance on-site during installations.

The Opportunity:

As a Solar PV Installer you will be responsible for the installation of our Solar PV Systems on residential buildings & ground mounted systems. You will receive 6 weeks of complete and thorough industry-specific training.

About the role

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Roofer or have previous experience in Cladding/Industrial glazing.

• Previous solar experience is desirable

• Must live within a commutable distance of Naas, Co. Kildare.

• Previous experience working at heights with the use of a harness.

• The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and control Health and Safety aspects on site.

• Excellent organisational and planning skills along with a positive attitude for dealing with customers.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday - Typically 1 Installation per day.
