Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment & HR Services Group is recruiting a Solar PV Electrician for a Dublin-based role. You will join a new Solar PV division, delivering residential solar and battery installations from site surveys to commissioning and certification.

The ideal candidate is an experienced electrician, SEAI registered, capable of signing off on Safe Electric, and able to help establish technical standards as the division grows. A full clean driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience installing residential Solar PV systems.
• Experience installing and commissioning residential battery storage systems.
• Strong knowledge of Safe Electric requirements and Irish electrical regulations.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission residential Solar PV systems and battery storage.
• Carry out pre-installation site surveys and support design & planning.
• Complete electrical works to a high professional standard meeting required standards.
• Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues on site.
• Complete testing, commissioning and certification documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with Safe Electric and SEAI requirements.

Job Title: Solar PV Electrician (SEAI Registered)

Location: Dublin & surrounding areas

Our client is launching a dedicated Solar PV division and is seeking an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join the team at this exciting stage of growth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a new division and play an important role in shaping how residential solar and battery installations are delivered, from site surveys and technical planning through to installation, commissioning and certification.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced electrician with strong Solar PV and battery installation experience, who is SEAI registered and can sign off on Safe Electric. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations while helping establish technical standards, processes and best practices as the division develops.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test and commission residential Solar PV systems and battery storage systems


• Carry out pre-installation site surveys, identifying potential technical issues and supporting system design and installation planning


• Complete electrical works to a high professional standard, ensuring all installations meet required standards


• Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues effectively on site


• Complete testing, commissioning and certification documentation


• Ensure all work complies with Safe Electric, SEAI requirements and Irish electrical regulations


• Work professionally in customers’ homes, providing an excellent customer experience


• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across all installations


• Contribute to the development of installation methods, technical standards and best practices


• Work closely with management to improve quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction


• Support the development and training of additional installation team members as the division grows

Key Requirements:

• Recognised Irish electrical qualification


• Proven experience installing residential Solar PV systems


• Experience installing and commissioning residential battery storage systems


• Strong knowledge of Safe Electric requirements and Irish electrical regulations


• Experience testing and commissioning Solar PV installations


• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills


• Full clean driving licence
