Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment partners with a green energy client in Mayo to recruit an Electrician for a permanent role. You'll join the installation team delivering high-quality Solar PV systems to domestic, commercial and agricultural properties.

You will perform commissioning checks, fault diagnosis, and handovers with customers, while strictly following health and safety standards. The role is outdoor, customer-facing and requires strong problem-solving and reliability.

Qualifications

• A qualified electrician with excellent technical knowledge.
• Safe Electric Registered.
• SEAI Solar PV Registered.
• Previous Solar PV installation, commissioning or maintenance experience.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused.
• Comfortable working outdoors and at different customer locations.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage workloads efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Keen to develop new skills within the renewable energy industry.

Responsibilities

• Installing Solar PV systems on domestic, commercial and agricultural properties
• Carrying out commissioning checks and system testing
• Recording installation and commissioning documentation accurately
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting system faults where required
• Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety procedures, PPE requirements and company standards
• Liaising professionally with customers throughout the installation process
• Demonstrating completed systems and providing customer handovers
• Supporting efficient site management and achieving installation KPIs
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, productivity and professionalism
• Any other duties as assigned
